AngLyricsNatin.com, a Philippine lyrics database was launched by Bembang! as an addition to one of their owned and operated sites. The site aims to archive as much OPM lyrics in one categorized and searchable website. Check the site for your favorite lyrics to the latest and greatest OPM hits of all time. Visitors can also post requests for lyrics which are not yet in the database. Bembang! will soon add more usable features depending on feedback and user comments.

Lessons from the Masters is a one-man show of 56 oil paintings with video that actually construct a specific installation. Vitug’s works speak of “step by step painting techniques done by the masters” entwined with performance as metaphor on discipline, obedience and submission of an apprentice cum servant under the strict compliance of “Western school of thought”.
When shown one after the other, the animated central figure seems to come alive and progress from preliminary sketches to more improved and sophisticated realistic paintings.
Both visual and symbolic, the progression documents the evolution of the Filipino's role and his "Masters" in the course of globalisation.
Lessons from the Masters opens on September 22 at 6:00 pm and will run through November 6, 2005 at the Bulwagang Fenando Amorsolo (Small Gallery), Cultural Center of the Philippines.
Gallery Hours are from 10am to 6pm daily except Mondays & holidays.

Zach Lucero, the famed NU 107.5 DJ and Imago drummer announced recently that he will leave his home of almost 9 years - NU 107.5 fm. Who can ever forget the countless mornings spent in traffic being entertained by the "Zach and Joey in the morning" show or the terrors he accords to traffic announcers and newbie DJ's.
Earlier today Zach issued a short text announcement about his retirement and his farewell show this Friday.

Issue 06 Dream Bembang! feature Nicolette Bell has partnered with Bembang! for her official site. The site was launched today and features photographs from Nicolette's modeling stints, her biography contact information and more.
The site is hosted on Bembang!'s servers and is considered as one of Bembang!'s owned and operated sites. The site is designed by Marked Verzo.

What is a band comeback without an album release to match it? While last year's anniversary gig, "Eight", marked the official comeback of Sheila and the Insects (SATI) with a new line up, this year's Manipulator re-issue affirms that the Insects are definitely up and about.
The new pressed issue of Manipulator consists of 10 tracks performed by the previous line-up of SATI, with the addition of 2 live tracks performed by current band members Orven Enoveso, Ian Zafra, Jerros Dolino, and Boobop Nuñez.
With the two line-ups performing in various tracks in one album, this re-issue of Manipulator aptly brings closure to the previous incarnation of the Insects and welcomes its newly metamorphosed self. This 2005 pressed edition, as opposed to the 2002 D.I.Y. (Do-It-Yourself) release, heralds SATI's single-mindedness in doing things the right way and putting their best foot forward--this time around.
Manipulator, with its characteristically different sonic personality (that is, relative to the previous albums of SATI), was produced during a time when the Insects were exploring a broader and bolder soundscape. Such exploration has produced a collection of impressively eloquent tracks that, taken together, makes one hauntingly captivating album.
A must-have album, Manipulator 2005 pressed edition is available at Tower Records this Friday, Feb. 11, 2005. Breathe With Me, the new single previously unheard on the airwaves, has been released late last year through the internet radio, Indie Radio Live, and has been getting airplay in Cebu's BT105.9 and Smash FM radio stations.
Pictures from the recently concluded Bembang! Yearedner Party can now be viewed through the Bembang! Gallery. The event was held last December 29, 2004 at Freedom Bar. The event featured the bands Cactus Clank, Soap Dish, RSGD, Suspicious Character and Hiraya.

One last party before the year ends! Bembang! will have a yearender party this December 29, 2004 at Freedom Bar. The party will start at 9 p.m. and will feature the talents of Cactus Clank, Hiraya, Monkey Spank, RSGD, Suspicious Character and Soap Dish.

We have just received confirmation from Aia De Leon of Imago. They have agreed to be featured on Bembang!'s next issue which will be out on January of 2005. Imago will be the main feature for our new portion called Rockstar Bembang!, which started on Issue 05 when we featured Sugar Free, with the questions coming in from the readers.
Imago which was signed with Viva during their first album, decided to go 'Indie' just recently when they launched their second album entitled 'Take 2'. For our feature on Imago, we will also accept questions from the Bembang! community which we will compile and give to Imago to be answered. Bembang! is now accepting works for Issue 06 which will be released on January of 2005. Submission is open to all. If you have an unpublished written work please contact us now to have your article reviewed. We will also be accepting artwork, photos and poetry for this issue.
If you think that your writing fits Bembang!, please do not hesitate to contact us for your article to be published. Bembang! does not guarantee that all submitted works will be published. Bembang! might also accept your article but include in a much later issue if we receive more than enough articles.
Contributions for Issue 06 must be written in English with a minimum of 400 words. The topic will solely depend on the writer. We have compiled a list of suggested themes to write about below.

Pictures from the recently concluded Bembangan! Saguijo 3 can now be viewed through the Bembang! Gallery. The event was held last October 8, 2004 at Cafe Saguijo. This event showcased the talents of Mayonnaise, Suspicious Character, Hiraya and Maple Syrup.

Bembang! News, the latest addition to Bembang!, is now accepting news articles, press releases, promotional articles from any qualified group or individual as long as it might spur the interest of the Bembang! community.
Bembang! News was launched so that the site will have regularly updated content in between published issues and for the community to always be updated with the latest Bembang! happenings, events, gimmicks and updates to any previously published content.
Submissions will be posted on the front page on a summarized form and a link will lead the reader to the main Bembang! News page. The news items will also have an archive that collects all previously published items. The archive will be searchable. Bembang! also plans to add a subscribe function so that all email addresses in the database will be sent updates every time a news item is posted.
Contributions for news items are also accepted and must be written in English with a maximum of 400 words, with or without graphics. The following themes listed below are accepted.

Bembang! has launched a new website called Jolaks which will replace the Bembang! Directory. The site was created to advance the original goal of having a pure Filipino web directory which was the primary idea behind the Bembang! Directory.
All sites that were included in the Bembang! Directory are now posted in Jolaks. All submissions to the Bembang! Directory made after October 26, 2004 will be posted at Jolaks. For the sake of search engine indexing, the site will not be removed until all the pages of Jolaks have been indexed by the major search engines. Furthermore, the Bembang! Network and the Adult Category in the Bembang! Directory will not be deleted.

Bembang! has once again partnered with Saguijo Bar to host one of their music productions. This time they invited the 2004 Red Horse Muziklaban Champion Band - Mayonnaise to headline the event. Suspicious Character, Soap Dish and Holding Hands will complete the lineup.
