Inconsiderately Tanga

Are you stupid or something?

Act One.

scene: a small outdoor parking lot. night time.

(Amanda walks towards her car. Passing some local call center people who are obviously on their cigarette break. They are a bit noisy. A young woman's voice bursts with a sudden flirty laugh that could be quite annoying to some. They hang around a pick up truck, some standing, some sitting)

(Amanda starts her car and slowly backs up. The tiny parking lot is full because of the grave yard shift call center. She suddenly stops. Looking at the rear view mirror, she sees the girl right behind her, looking at the car, smoking a cigarette, talks some more to the guys and does not move away)

Amanda: (to herself) What the hell is this girl doing? Move!

(Amanda continues to back up a bit. Looks at the girl and the other guys from the mirror. They do not do anything. They just ignore the car backing up, continuing to converse)

Amanda: Potangena naman talaga o. (gets out of the car)

Hey! Excuse me. Do you mind moving?

(They all look at her. She walks up to the girl)

Do you want me to hit you?

Girl: What the fuck is YOUR problem, bitch? (take note: With a very bad American accent)

Amanda: YOU! All you needed to do was move away from the car. Konting utak naman dyan o. Bulag ka ba?

Girl: (snickers sarcastically) No.

(The guys begin to encircle them)

Amanda: (voice getting louder) Tanga ka lang talaga. Geezas! You know what? It's inconsiderate people like you who really make me so inis!!!

Girl: Well, that's your problem not mine. (Rolls her eyes and turns around)

Amanda: (grabs her hair and drags her to the ground) (the cat fight begins)

- end scene -

***Ok. It didn't actually happen that way. But this is just an example of how much of a war-freak I can become when I get pretty upset towards inconsiderate people. But it's all in my head of course. I don't think I can actually do that in real life. What really happened was that I DID have a problem when I was backing up and YES, that stupid annoying girl was there behind my car and did not move. She saw me and still didn't move! It was really frustrating. Even the guys didn't even bother to move their asses to give way. Fucking, stupid, nakakagigil people talaga. I just stayed in my car, glaring at them through the mirror. I admit I'm afraid to confront people, unless of course my alter-ego overpowers me and takes over. The security guard came over and helped out. He made them move away.

Why oh why does the world go on turning with peanut-brained human beings living in it?! I'm not saying I'm perfect or anything. But at least I have enough sensitivity towards others. And simple common sense.

Hay bwisit.

[My thing about call center people are:]

I've always had a sort of a problem with strangers who are obviously working at call centers. I dunno. There is just this negative emotion in me towards them. Add the fact that they have done a lot of inconsiderate things to me and other people I know. It's like they think of themselves as superior. Yes, they make a hell a lot of money, and sure, they work at the oddest hours of the day (which could be the reason behind their weird behaviors) but still... there are those that really, ultimately annoy me.

Based on the people I know who work at call centers, they have told me all sorts of awful stories about that kind of job:

1. They say the environment is too much like college...even the mentality of other people still associate themselves as being "in school". - well, most of them are fresh college graduates.

2. Then there's the "astig ako" attitude, mostly from guys, who think they got what it takes. - no comment

3. The "fuck me, i'm a dumb bombshell who got in because of my looks" type of girls. - hah! this applies to any kind of job or organization, actually.

4. The numerous and scandalous inter-office relationships even if they got their boyfriends/girlfriends outside the call center world. - which makes my blood boil... and i'm disappointed for them.

5. The number of pregnancy "accidents" resulting from the inter-office relationships. - oooh tsk tsk tsk.

6. Then there's the "let's fuck friend!" - Well, I can't blame them if their odd hours deprive them from getting some. So where do they turn to? Their own officemates. Oh yeah.

7. Purpose for some people who want to work at a call center is plainly because it pays a lot. They have this goal of hoping to save up enough money so that when the time comes that they do decide to leave the company, they'd have enough dough to let them possibly start their own small business. The downside that happens is that they tend to spend much more than they expected. The excitement and security they feel from the high-paying job makes one hungry for more money.

I'm not against them, mind you. I just want to complain. There are a hell lot more nice, wonderful and "educated" people working at the call centers. It's just a shame that the ones that call my attention are those that boil me up.

High blood! High blood!

Anyway, blahblahblah.
